SUBLIMATION

Sublimation is the process where special ink transitions directly into a gas, by-passing the liquid state. Items that undergo sublimation have vibrant, long-lasting colors that endure with proper care.

The limitation of sublimation on clothing is that it's limited to light-colored fabric (not suitable for dark fabrics), needing a minimum of 80% polyester, preferably 100%, for optimal outcomes and proper bonding of ink to polyester fibers at a heat pressure of 320-350°F.

To ensure compatibility with other hard substrates, they need special treatment to support sublimation and withstand temperatures of 320-350°F. Sublimation on treated substrates delivers vibrant, long-lasting colors, just like on apparel.

Some examples of items that can be sublimated are:

  • Keychains
  • Mugs
  • Dog Tags
  • Costers
  • Mousepads
  • Tote Bags
  • T-Shirts
  • Phone Cases
